These tiny, slower-producing flies are a great food source for small insectivore and/or omnivorous reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, insects, etc... that consume more food than Drosophila Melanogaster could produce, as these flies are larger and tend to have more meat on them. Being a freshly started colony you may not see any new larvae for up to a week.
